LBCC currently has projects underway in the following areas:
Seton Medical Center Williamson -- Round Rock, Texas
The Seton Medical
Center Williamson is
a state-of-the-art
facility comprised of
more than 360,000
square feet of patient
treatment areas and
rooms located on a
74-acre site.
The structural frame
for the 6-story bed
tower is designed as
a two-way cast-inplace
flat plate in order to maximize the interstitial floor space for mechanical systems
and to reduce forming costs. LBCC staff worked closely with the project developer, design
team, materials testing
laboratory and material
suppliers to assure that
the concrete provided
achieved the high early
strengths needed for
the flat plate design.
Lott Brothers
Construction Company
provided construction
services for the project
developer, UHS Building Solutions, Inc.

Work on the
excavation and
foundation for the fast
tracked project, incorporating both pre-cast concrete and cast-in-place concrete
structural elements, began prior to
completion of the design of the
facility. In addition to construction
services, LBCC provided input
during pre-construction concerning
constructability and design
alternatives for foundation elements,
finishes and exterior cladding.
The first phase of the campus includes
a 181-bed hospital, an ambulatory
surgery center, a
diagnostic and
imaging center, a
dedicated Women’s
Center with
separate entrance
for OB/GYN, labor
and delivery, postpartum
care,
transitional and
Level II nursery, a cancer center and a
complex of medical offices.
Seton Medical Center is equipped with
the latest technology, including
electronic medical records, automated
delivery of critical test results, room
service, and wireless access
throughout the facility.
Facility design elements
combine a healing garden,
waterscape, outdoor
courtyard, nature-inspired
interior, a large chapel and a
serene interfaith reflection
room creating a comforting
and peaceful environment.

Projected Finish Date: 12/07

Iraan General Hospital
-- Iraan, Texas
Lott Brothers Construction
Company is currently
constructing this 35,000 square
foot replacement hospital for
the Iraan Hospital District. This
facility is located in west Texas
at the southern end of the
Permian Basin Oil Field.
Accordingly, the hospital and
staff at the existing facility
provide healthcare for a large
portion of southwestern Texas.
The new facility, including its
helipad and emergency
treatment facilities, will provide
additional needed capabilities.

LBCC staff members are working closely with the local district staff, Parsons-Meta and
STG Architects to identify capable subcontractors and suppliers in this sparsely
populated area of Texas. LBCC identified subcontractors and suppliers from San Antonio, Midland-Odessa, San Angelo, Abilene, Austin and other locations in west
Texas to fulfill project requirements. A portable concrete batch plant has been erected
at the site to
facilitate the
placement of
concrete elements
at the project.
Local sources for
select fill were
identified to
reduce cost. The
facility is projected
to open in 2008.
